Treating the whole person; Asian Bodywork Therapy, and Classical Homeopathic perspective.

Our body; covered in muscles, tissues and within, nerves and blood and we have channels meridians and pathways

A good definition:  Shiatsu pronounced shee = (finger) atsu = (pressure),  a non-invasive therapy originating from Japan.

It uses a combination of kneading, pressing, tapping and stretching techniques.

These gentle but firm and deep techniques aim to reduce tension and re energize the body.

Shiatsu works with the body's energy flow as does acupressure, manual pressure is applied to specific acu-points on the body.

It is Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practice that is similar except that it uses my powerful fingers and pressure instead of needles.

Shiatsu meridians are streams or pathways of energy throughout the body.

Each meridian corresponds with a particular organ and encompasses the larger functions of that organ and complimentary organ. If the energy flowing through a shiatsu meridian is imbalanced or blocked then that particular area will usually feel pain and the system it fuels will be jeopardized.

This could result in an illness making meridians play a crucial role in the health of the entire body.

Asian Bodywork Therapy is one of the three branches of Chinese medicine, alongside acupuncture and herbal medicine.

ABT also does not require the patient to disrobe unlike Western massage, making it suitable for all cultures and religious backgrounds, and to stretch you comfortably.

As a Classical homeopath I love to teach, this medicine is not Eastern medicine, but has been in the East now, as much as it is in the West (it was created in Germany by renaissance genius Samuel Christian Hahnemann), and homeopathy was available as it is now, before modern medicine existed and is still as effective, as well as giving POSITIVE effects from the get go of its creation, including it being full cures for thousands during epidemics and pandemics, homeopathic medicine is practiced throughout India, very successfully and with huge amounts of cure, not only there, but in Africa, China, throughout all of the Middle East and Israel, it is loved everywhere. `

The point is for people that are looking to feel healthier and to be part of an all round wellness lifestyle and though amazingly relaxing,

It is not the light touch style of muscular therapy 'Swedish', but I do not need to exert much whether I work light and gently, or deep; it is not 'deep tissue', because the focus is not about tissue, it is about changing the dynamic of your overall, well being.

Fire Cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, and other methods/modalities; are also modalities that can be used (ask about these or see them on this site.)

Stress-Related Disorder and Injury
Musculo-Skeletal Conditions (neck, shoulder, back, and hip/leg pain)
Repetitive-Motion Stress and Injury (carpal tunnel syndrome, etc.)
Seasonal Affective Disorders (SAD)
Menstrual Dysfunction and Peri-Menopausal Life-Cycle Changes
Muscle Tension and Spasm
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Sports Injuries
And, much, much more....with classical homeopathy  things that are greatly improved and often cured.
