AShiatsu Wellbeing

AShiatsu Wellbeing

As Shi-atsu means finger pressure

Ashi-atsu means foot pressure

The idea is the same, you are using fingers and hands or feet and toes to work on the person.

It has to do with feeling better through hands on~ or in this case FEET ON!

A few Shiatsu or Ashiatsu treatment benefits

  • Relieves pain

  • Reduces stress

  • Increases flexibility

  • Improves posture

  • Boosts circulation

  • Enhances athletic performance

  • Promotes restful sleep...

In Ashiatsu, when we walk on you it is like getting a full acupuncture treatment with the feet, you are immersed in the  art of self-healing.

Massage and bodywork have anatomy and physiology course training, understanding of our physical organs and their systems is basic and very important.

Understanding a muscle is activated via motor neurons, the muscle contracts, which means it shortens or brings the attachment sites closer together.

After a muscular contraction is complete, the muscle fibers lengthen and relax, or reduce tension.

In Asian Bodywork therapy, our concern is actually the motor neurons, not the muscle action, muscles and soft tissue are involved due to their placement, it is never the actual focus.

The muscular system is great for understanding ‘muscle action’, but for Asian Bodywork therapy it's used as a GPS system in identifying WHAT acupuncture channel we are on, and point location, etc.

The effect Shiatsu or Ashiatsu has on the Vagus Nerve is key, it is a noticeable improvement.

The Vagus Nerve is a sensory neuron and helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system.

The Sympathetic nervous system is the “fight or flight’ aspect of the nervous system and is the part that we have no control over, its role is in responding to danger, in includes the limbic as well as the immune system and endocrinological system, the parasympathetic nervous system balances the central or sympathetic nervous system.

This means that the better shape the Vagus nerve is in, the less affected the adrenal glands (which the Kidneys rule over), is harmed and the better equipped for our central or sympathetic nervous systems function to go into high gear, in the first place.

Your sympathetic nervous system is best known for its role in responding to dangerous or stressful situations. In these situations, your sympathetic nervous system activates to speed up your heart rate, deliver more blood to areas of your body that need more oxygen or other responses to help you get out of danger.

Danger can happen when we believe we believe we are in control.

Situations occur during any form of abuse, so when we are in self abuse, such as allowing harmful relationships such as with narcissistic people that abuse us, or drug and/ or alcohol, to have control, we are harming ourselves.

The best we can do is to have actual self care which I refer to as defined health care, where we practice healthy habits physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

When you experience Ashiatsu Wellbeing you are having the work done on your body on the acupuncture channels, you are being treated with the foot and the toes that know the point location the same as the hands, as it's not the appendage that understands, it is innate to the practitioner, which transfers innately to the persons deeper understanding of what they require for themselves on all levels, remember the ParaSympathetic nervous system BALANCES the Central Nervous System

Asian Bodywork Therapy is a world different from muscular therapy as you can see.
